Pet Scan Results

My mom found out her results late Monday ( I'm just getting to this now as I've been sick with the flu)

The scan showed two spots, one in her breast and one lymph node (both of which were expected and known about) and thank the Lord... no cancer anywhere else!!!!!

So, as it stands now, she will have a double mastectomy this Friday.

I thank you in advance for prayers that have been said and ask you to keep on praying for good results.

I'll write more when I'm feeling better.. which is hopefully very soon!!

Blessings!

Tracy,
I'm so glad it hasn't spread! I will pray for your mom! Ask for the intercession of St. Agatha...she is the patron of breast cancer/diseases! Then, of course, there is always St. Pergerine. She is going to be fine! This is just a bump in the road. If I had mine to do all over again, I would have had BOTH breasts removed instead of just one. Recovery will be challenging, (I think the drains were the worst part), but she will be feeling better within just a few days. There will be sadness at the loss of her breasts...but relief in knowing that the cancer is gone. Mixed emotions for sure. If you need anything....let me know!
Love,
Nancy

Thank you so much Nancy, I'm in tears just reading your post. We were so surprised to find out the short hospital stay for this type of surgery.. two days at most.. wow!! Thankfully she has several sisters who want to take turns coming and helping her as well as my brother, sister and myself plan on doing the same.. we don't want daddy to get overwhelmed. I'm more concerned right now with just the fact that she is having major surgery.. I keep telling myself.. one step at a time!! I thank you all for your lovely words and prayers... you are all so amazing!!!!!!

You and your mom and family are in my prayers. I am glad to hear that the cancer has not spread anywhere else. Your mom has quite a support group! God bless!
