"The Eucharist is at the very center of our life; such was the teaching of Jesus. When commenting on the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves He told His apostles that He Himself is the Living Bread that came down from heaven. He called on the twelve for an act of faith and it was Peter who answered in the name of all: 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of everlasting life. We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God' (John 6:69). Christian faith is faith in the Eucharistic Christ."

The Eucharist is one of the things I like best about the Mass and about Catholicism. There is something special about the sharing in the Eucharist and especially the quiet time afterward. When I take time out of my work day to make the noon Mass, the Eucharist "feeds" me for the rest of the day -- and people do notice.
Wishing you a very blessed Lent season and am glad to be back among the computered living after three months of no personal computer so that I can stop by blogs that I enjoy again.
Thank you Tracy for sharing about the Eucharist!! So nice to have you back!!
Thanks for this post. Prayers for you and your family.
